because I said I would.

This past Wednesday, September 9th, UHS students had the opportunity to attend a presentation by Alex Sheen, the founder of because I said I would, a non-profit social movement dedicated to the betterment of humanity through making and keeping promises. Alex presented his life story, explaining how his father’s death and a single promise to him inspired the idea of creating promise cards. Through several stories and experiences, Alex shared his journey from being the son of a hard working Korean man who always kept his word to becoming an international leader for social change.

Here are a few pictures to commemorate the event. Also, don’t forget to add to the UHS Promise Wall, located in the basement across from LL3!
