2016-02-13 11.02.50

On February 13th and 14th, seven UHS freshmen, mostly students in computer science, spent 24 hours locked in the University of Advanced Technology in Tempe learning how to code and working on projects. The attending students were Roman Anthis, Aidan Barg, Dominic Bjerken, Aliyah Hernandez, JT Kuhn, Enrique Castillon, and Avram Parra. Roman, Aidan, Aliyah, and JT received Best Game honors for Garden Bunnies, a first person shooter game, in which you as a cabbage with a carrot gun must protect yourself against the ceaseless attacks of  hungry bunnies.

Photo credits go to UHS science teacher Lisa Volkening, who chaperoned the students during the event.
